Project Engineer - Design & NPI

The Role

Manage all aspects of NPI projects from customer enquiry through to production.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead NPI projects from enquiry through to launch
Apply Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles to ensure robust, cost-effective solutions
Liaise with tooling suppliers and manage jig & fixture sourcing
Control costs, prototypes, and engineering changes
Prepare APQP & PPAP documentation
Train operators, develop SOPs & work instructions for new tooling
Support quotations and technical proposals
Use 3D CAD (approx. 15% of role) to support design activity
International travel to visit suppliers and customers, building strong technical relationships 

About You

We are looking for someone with:

Experienced Tooling Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer or similar
A background in tooling and plastics, ideally with injection moulding experience.
Min HNC is a relevant engineering qualification
Strong project engineering skills with design knowledge - Catia V5 - advantageous
Knowledge/experience of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and engineering change management.
Ability to translate customer requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
