Job Title: Ocean Freight Coordinator

Location: Liverpool, L33

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Salary: Circa £32,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + benefits

Ocean Freight Coordinator Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with freight forwarding knowledge who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a drive to progress within the logistics industry.

Ocean Freight Coordinator Key Responsibilities

Managing import and export shipments from start to finish
Managing ocean freight shipments
Quoting for new and existing customers
Liaising with suppliers including hauliers and shipping lines
Arranging transport via shipping lines, agents, and hauliers
Handling account management for key customers
Processing customer invoices and supplier costs
Supporting the coordination of ocean freight operations
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely updates to customers
Assisting with customs-related processes where required
Knowledge of completing full customs entries
Familiarity with HMRC CDS clearance systems
Experience using freight forwarding systems (e.g. Cargoes, Actifreight, MCP, CNS)
