Optical Head of Sales Job - North East / UK Wide

Salary: Around £40,000 + £3,600 Car Allowance, With Flexibility for the Right Candidate
 Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
 Location: Field Based, Supporting Practices Across the UK

Zest Optical are working alongside a growing independent optical group to recruit an Optical Head of Sales.

The group has practices across the UK and Scotland, with a strong presence in Newcastle and the North East. They also operate their own manufacturing laboratory and offer exclusive in-house frame collections.

This senior position will take responsibility for shaping the sales strategy across the group. You will work with Practice Managers, Practice Coaches and the leadership team to improve performance, identify opportunities for growth and create consistency across the practices.

The role is field based and involves regular UK travel. The senior leadership team is currently based in the North East, so someone based in or closer to the North would be advantageous. However, candidates from other areas will be considered.

Optical Head of Sales - The Role

Develop and lead a group-wide sales strategy
Support practices with sales performance, targets and growth opportunities
Analyse sales data, KPIs and performance trends
Work with Practice Managers to turn commercial insight into practical actions
Deliver coaching, mentoring and sales training
Share best practice across the group
Work with marketing on campaigns and promotions
Build relationships with teams and senior stakeholders
Support the continued growth of the businessOptical Head of Sales - Requirements

At least two years' experience within the optical industry
Senior sales, business development, account management or multi-site commercial experience
Proven ability to improve sales performance and revenue
Confident analysing KPIs and commercial data
Experience coaching and developing customer-facing teams
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Comfortable working autonomously and travelling across the UK
