The Role As a Package Manager – Waste Engineering, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering waste management activities across the decommissioning lifecycle. You will lead waste characterisation campaigns, develop strategies, and oversee disposal and processing activities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory safety standards. Your daily tasks will include producing technical reports, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting project reviews, and supervising junior staff. You will have the following qualifications & experience: Proven to have extensive experience working within radioactive waste management and waste characterisation principles. Demonstrable knowledge of UK waste legislation, environmental permits, and waste acceptance criteria. Expert understanding of waste classification, packaging, transport, and disposal principles, as well as familiarity with waste processing techniques relevant to nuclear projects. Chartered Engineer or Scientist status, or equivalent professional recognition, with a strong background supporting or delivering facility decommissioning or clean-out projects.
