Parts Advisor

Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer | Stable Hours | Supportive Team

Accord Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a respected HGV dealership in Southampton seeking an organised and customer-focused Parts Advisor. This is a great opportunity to join a professional commercial vehicle environment supporting workshop operations and customers.

Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday + Saturday rota (1 in 2 or 1 in 3 Saturdays)

Role Overview

You will ensure technicians and customers receive correct parts quickly and efficiently while supporting stock control and supplier coordination. The role involves working closely with workshop teams and handling parts enquiries both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  * Supplying parts to workshop technicians and trade customers

  * Ordering, receiving, and organising stock

  * Identifying parts using manufacturer systems

  * Managing enquiries via phone, email, and trade counter

  * Supporting workshop efficiency and reducing vehicle downtime

  * Maintaining accurate stock and system records

Saturday Working

This role includes Saturday working on a rota basis (typically 1 in 2 or 1 in 3). Flexibility to support this is essential.

Candidate Requirements

  * Previous Parts Advisor or vehicle parts experience

  * HGV or automotive dealership experience is advantageous

  * Strong organisation and communication skills

  * Good IT and parts catalogue system knowledge

  * Reliable, team-focused, and able to work in a busy environment
