Are you an experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker looking to make a genuine difference within a progressive and relationship-focused authority? Swindon Borough Council is expanding its Family Safeguarding Service and is looking for passionate practitioners who are committed to improving outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children and families subject to Child Protection, Child in Need, and care proceedings
Complete high-quality assessments, reports, and plans in line with statutory responsibilities
Build strong, effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
Undertake direct work with children to ensure their voices remain central to planning
Participate in strategy discussions, core groups, child protection conferences, and court work where required
Contribute to a positive team culture focused on restorative and relationship-based practice
Support and mentor less experienced staff where appropriate (Senior Social Worker level)
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
Registered with Social Work England
Experience within Children’s Safeguarding/Family Safeguarding services
Strong assessment, risk management, and court work experience
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Full UK driving licence preferred
