The Opportunity

Search Consultancy is recruiting a skilled and reliable Plumber for an ongoing contract based in Hebburn. Working on a major regional development, this position offers consistent, long-term hours for a time-served operative looking for continuous work close to home.

If you have a strong background in commercial or domestic 1st and 2nd fix plumbing, hold a valid Blue or Gold CSCS card, and want a secure £24.00/hr CIS pipeline of work on Wearside/South Tyneside, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Working on site in Hebburn, you will be delivering clean, reliable plumbing installs strictly to site specifications:

1st Fix Plumbing: Running copper pipework, plastic pressure pipe, and soil/vent stacks across timber and masonry structures.

2nd Fix Fit-Out: Installing sanitary ware, sinks, toilets, thermostatic showers, radiators, and hot/cold water supplies.

Testing & Commissioning: Pressure testing pipework and systems to ensure leak-free installations before sign-off.

Plan Reading: Interpreting schematic drawings and mechanical layouts to ensure accurate pipe runs and containment placement.

Site Coordination: Working efficiently alongside joiners, tilers, and site supervisors to keep the handover schedule on track.

What We're Looking For

To satisfy site requirements, applicants must hold:

CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft / NVQ Level 3) CSCS card is strictly mandatory.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or time-served equivalent).

Tools & Kit: Full professional tool kit (soldering equipment, pipe benders, press tools, battery kit) and 5-point PPE.

Experience: Proven history delivering 1st and 2nd fix plumbing in a commercial or housing development setting.

Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.
