Job Description

PMO Manager £392.70p daily rate - PAYE £503.23p daily rate – Umbrella/LTD Outside IR35 Full time 6 Month Contract Initially Milton Keynes / Hybrid – 60% onsite working SC Clearance required – Restrictions Apply Our government client is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to support the delivery of a major Technology Strategy Programme within the Chief Technology Office (CTO). This role provides essential governance, reporting, and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of complex programmes and projects across the organisation. The PMO Manager will act as a central coordination point for programme governance, compliance, and stakeholder communication, ensuring that all projects adhere to the organisation’s standards and delivery frameworks. Skills and Experience Essential: * 7+ Years working within Project Delivery/Project Management Office environment * Ability to communicate & collaborate with others effectively * Working use of Microsoft Productivity Tools - Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc * Ability to analyse and continually improve high quality programme governance artefacts, including delivery to senior stakeholders * Experience of delivering projects/programmes to Government and/or Defence, stakeholders in a secure environment * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail. * Experience managing programme and project finances Desirable: * Knowledge of Project Management toolsets, such as MS Project * Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager background * Experience in PMO or project support within a complex programme environment. Constraints: Candidates submitted for this role must be British nationals, to confirm: * They are a British citizen or hold dual nationality, and * They have been a resident in the UK for at least two of the last 5 years Due to the nature of this work Government security clearance if not already held will need to be obtained. The minimum clearance required for this role is SC. (Although advantageous, it is not a requirement that an individual already holds Security Clearance.) Candidates who do not currently hold clearance must be able to obtain the appropriate level of clearance for the role specified. Short-listed candidates will be submitted for vetting procedures before being formally offered the position. This process can take 6-8 weeks.
