Job Description

Supply Heroes are looking for a part-time PPA teacher for a lovely, forward thinking primary school in Handsworth, Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment with the benefits of being part-time and limited to no planning. You will also have the flexibility of working across numerous year groups, therefore somebody confident from EYFS to Year 6 is desirable. The role will start January 2026 and will be for the full academic year, 4 days a week.

PPA Teacher Responsibilities:

  * Provide cover for teachers during their PPA time

  * Deliver lessons across all year groups (all planning prepared)

  * Mark work and assess pupils' progress

  * Work with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively

We are looking for a PPA Teacher who is:

  * Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching

  * Flexible to work across year groups

  * Able to build positive relationships with students and staff

  * Confident in the classroom and managing challenging behaviour

  * A team player who is willing to collaborate with others

  * Have a teaching qualification to teach in the UK- QTS essential
