Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS)I am working with a large, welcoming primary school in Stockport that is looking to appoint a temporary Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children within its thriving EYFS provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping young children take their first steps in education, within a school that is committed to providing an engaging, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll be doing
Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage to access learning through play-based and adult-led activities
Working closely with class teachers and the wider EYFS team to deliver high-quality learning experiences
Supporting children's social, emotional, language and physical development
Helping to create a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment both indoors and outdoors
Encouraging children's confidence, independence and curiosity through positive interactions
Supporting early literacy, numeracy and communication skills
Observing, monitoring and recording children's progress against EYFS learning goals
Promoting positive behaviour and helping children develop strong relationships with their peers
Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare at all times
Who we're looking for
Experience of working with young children, ideally within an EYFS, nursery or primary school setting
A genuine passion for supporting children's early learning and development
Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
A caring, patient and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiastic, proactive and able to use initiative when supporting children's learning
Committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive
