The Role We are working on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in High Peak and the surrounding areas to find a dedicated, enthusiastic Primary School Teacher. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, or additional needs Set high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour, and attitudes to learning Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to maintain pupil engagement and motivationAssessment & Progress Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress accurately and regularly Use assessment data to inform planning and identify pupils requiring additional support or challenge Provide constructive, timely feedback to pupils to support their development Contribute to pupil progress meetings and reporting cyclesClassroom & Behaviour Management Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently, in line with the school's behaviour policy Promote a calm, safe, and respectful atmosphere conducive to learningCollaboration & Communication Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, and senior leadership Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing Contribute to whole-school initiatives, events, and extra-curricular activities where appropriate Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, INSET days, and CPD sessionsSafeguarding Uphold the school's safeguarding policies at all times, promoting the welfare and wellbeing of every pupil Report any safeguarding concerns promptly through the correct channels Requirements Essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching in a primary school setting (KS1 and/or KS2) Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the National Curriculum A genuine passion for teaching and improving outcomes for children Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one Eligibility to work in the UKDesirable Experience with SEN/SEND provision or working with pupils with additional needs A subject specialism (e.g., Maths, English, Science, PE, Computing) Experience teaching in EYFS, where applicable to the role Experience using a range of assessment tools and tracking systems Recent, relevant CPD or training What We Offer Competitive, market-leading pay rates Access to a wide range of primary school roles across High Peak and the surrounding areas, including short-term, long-term, and permanent placements Ongoing CPD and training opportunities to support your professional development Supportive, friendly school environments matched to your preferences and strengths A dedicated, experienced consultant offering personalised support throughout your job search and placement Flexible working options, including full-time, part-time, and supply arrangements Fast, straightforward registration process How to Apply To apply, please submit your CV along with a brief covering statement outlining your suitability for the role.
