Job Description

A friendly and well-established primary school in the Timperley area of Trafford is seeking a dedicated Supply & Support / Intervention Teacher to join its team from January 2026 for a two-term placement.

The Role

The successful candidate will deliver a dual-focused role, combining class cover during teachers' PPA time with targeted intervention work in Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities include:

Morning PPA Cover: Deliver high-quality lessons to classes, ensuring pupils remain engaged and learning continues seamlessly during teachers' Planning, Preparation, and Assessment time.
Afternoon Interventions: Lead small group or one-to-one sessions for Key Stage 2 pupils, targeting areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics to accelerate progress and address gaps in learning.
Plan and prepare lessons and interventions in line with the school's curriculum and teaching policies.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to class teachers and senior staff.
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.
Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and leadership staff to ensure interventions are effective and tailored to pupils' needs.Why Join This School?
