Job Description

What the role involves:

Delivering high-quality intervention lessons to small groups and individual pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Planning engaging and differentiated lessons that address pupils’ individual learning needs.

Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches.

Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural challenges.

Creating a nurturing, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Maintaining clear and positive communication with staff, parents and carers.

The ideal candidate will:

✅ Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
 ✅ Have proven experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally with SEND or intervention experience.
 ✅ Be confident planning and delivering targeted support for pupils of varying abilities.
 ✅ Demonstrate strong differentiation and classroom management skills.
 ✅ Be flexible, patient, and committed to providing inclusive education for all children.
 ✅ Have excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
