TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Derby that is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The school encourages a positive approach to education and prides itself on helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The school is looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher on a part-time basis from September 2026 until July 2027, working Wednesday to Friday each week. The successful Year 2 Teacher will take full teaching responsibilities for the class on their working days, including planning, preparation and assessment, while delivering engaging lessons that support pupils in achieving their full potential.

The successful Year 2 Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also encouraged to apply)
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1 / KS1
• Experience undertaking full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation and assessment
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
