Year 4 Teacher – Full Time (Maternity Cover)

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Ilkeston, who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time maternity cover basis.

The Role

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress effectively.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
Has excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Is committed to raising standards and promoting pupil achievement.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Has a passion for creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences.
