Job Description

1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Nottingham (NG17)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £100 - £105 per day

Class Mate is recruiting a full-time 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Early Years at a welcoming and supportive primary school in NG17, starting immediately.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil within an EYFS setting
• Support early development through play-based and structured learning activities
• Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of the child
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
• Support the child’s communication, social and emotional development
• Help create a nurturing, safe and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working within EYFS or early years settings
• Understanding of supporting children with additional needs (e.g. ASD, speech & language)
• Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships
• Confident supporting early development and behaviour
• Passionate about making a difference in early childhood education

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a UK school or nursery setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to provide two professional references
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or Early Years) desirable but not essential
