Job Description

Our client is seeking a Principal EC&I professional to act as the Electrical Lead for RIBA Stage 3 scheme design on major nuclear‑safety‑implicated infrastructure at a naval base. You will lead a team of electrical engineers, own the technical direction for HV/LV and building‑services electrical systems, and ensure delivery aligns with programme, safety and client requirements. The role is hybrid in Glasgow, with flexibility depending on circumstances.
  
 What you will need

Strong background in building services electrical design across HV, LV and comms systems
Proven experience delivering EC&I design in regulated or safety‑critical environments
Demonstrable capability to lead and coordinate a 5–6‑person electrical engineering team
Experience producing technical scope, resource loading and design change documentation
Solid understanding of RIBA 3 design, risk management, assumptions control and change governance
