Job Description
Production Controller – £35,000
An established engineering manufacturer in Oxfordshire is looking for a Production Controller to join their specialist Pyrotechnic department. This role will see you coordinating data processing and supporting the shipment of safety-critical components used in aerospace escape systems.
Working closely with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams, you’ll help ensure products are processed right first time, meet regulatory requirements, and are delivered to customers on schedule. You’ll also play a key role in monitoring stock levels, supporting production throughput and maintaining accurate production documentation.
You’ll be part of a business that delivers life-saving technology to global aerospace customers and will be encouraged to contribute ideas, improve processes and act as a knowledgeable point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Produce and maintain ammunition data cards
Process contract data requirement lines
Manage order book data and delivery reports
Support the Shipping team with outbound deliveries
Collate, review and present production paperwork for customer review
Check production and packing documentation for booking errors
Work alongside Production Control, Engineering and Quality to support production plans and drive defect reduction
What you’ll need:
Experience in data processing and process coordination within a technical or manufacturing environment
Strong planning, organisational and data accuracy skills
Confident working with documentation and numerical data
High attention to detail and accuracy when checking work
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
Knowledge of US Government packing and shipping standards would be an advantage but not essential
