iSQ Recruitment is supporting an innovative UK engineering and manufacturing business with the search for an experienced Production Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
Working closely with Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Production Technicians, you'll play a key role in supporting products from prototype through to full production, improving manufacturing processes and ensuring efficient, safe and repeatable production methods.

Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
Support the transition of products from prototype and low-volume manufacture into full production
Support prototype builds, resolving manufacturing issues and providing DFM feedback
Develop manufacturing documentation including Work Instructions, Process Flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Machine Packs and Risk Assessments
Investigate production issues and implement process improvements
Source and specify tooling, production equipment and manufacturing solutions
Support tooling development using Creo
Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects
Support production line layouts, factory improvements and equipment integration
Train colleagues on manufacturing processes, tooling and best practice Benefits

3+ years' experience in Manufacturing, Production or Process Engineering
Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes within an NPI environment
Essential: Strong practical knowledge and experience using Creo tooling software
HNC, HND or equivalent engineering/technical qualification
Confident interpreting 2D and 3D engineering drawings and GD&T
Strong understanding of DFM, manufacturing documentation and production processes
Experience with PFMEAs, Control Plans, Work Instructions and Risk Assessments
Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
Experience managing engineering or manufacturing improvement projects
Experience with tooling, production equipment, line layouts or equipment integration
Ideally from an automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical device or other advanced manufacturing environment
