Production Manager – Food Manufacturing (South Devon)
Full-time | Competitive salary + benefits
A leading ethical food manufacturer in South Devon is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who’s passionate about people, quality, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will oversee a busy production operation, managing and developing a team of Supervisors to deliver consistent performance, efficiency, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and support Production Supervisors to achieve targets and maintain high standards.
Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
Maintain compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company standards (BRCGS, HACCP, allergen management).
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to deliver business goals.
Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive working culture.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production management.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Hands-on experience with CI and Lean methodologies.
Good understanding of food safety and H&S compliance.
Confident communicator, problem solver, and decision maker.
