Stores Lead – Crawley

We are recruiting for an experienced and organised Stores Lead to oversee the daily operations of a busy stores department in Crawley.

Role OverviewThe Stores Lead will be responsible for managing stock control, goods in/out, and ensuring the stores function runs efficiently. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the stores operation.

Oversee goods receiving, checking, and storage processes.

Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems.

Issue materials and equipment in line with business needs.

Conduct regular stock checks and support audit processes.

Ensure the stores area is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure stock availability and operational efficiency.

Support and guide team members where required.

Requirements
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Confident using stock systems or basic IT tools.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role.

Leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.

Desirable
Experience in a fast-paced or industrial environment.

Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a warehouse/stores setting
