Job Description
Do you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment?
Are you looking to train and develop in a new industry?
Our client are a leading supplier of aluminium and magnesium castings for the aerospace and defence industries. They are looking for a hard working and conscientious Production Operatives to join their Fettling and Moulding teams on a long-term basis.
As a Production Operative you will be:
* Filling pattern boxes with foundry sand, ensuring an even distribution throughout the mould.
* Following foundry techniques to accurately and efficiently assemble moulds and cores ready for the molten metal to be poured.
* Using hand and air tools to remove any rough surfaces from moulds, ensuring casting quality is maintained.
* Quality checking moulds for imperfections, repairing them where possible, and rejecting and remaking those that don’t.
As a Production Operative you will need:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Proven experience in the operation of hand tools
* A good degree of physical fitness
* Good attention to detail
Hours of work
Monday-Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only). 38 Hours per week
Benefits include free on-site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays and pension.
