I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and ensuring production runs safely and efficiently. You'll take ownership of a production area, leading your team to achieve quality, delivery, and performance targets while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
As Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading your team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with Engineering, Planning, Logistics, and Technical teams to ensure production plans are achieved and operational objectives are met.
Key responsibilities
Leading, motivating, and developing a team to deliver high levels of performance and engagement.
Managing daily production activities, ensuring workflow is organised and targets are achieved.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Supporting the introduction of new processes, equipment, and working practices.
Monitoring performance through KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Conducting regular one-to-ones, coaching, and performance reviews to develop capability within the team.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional departments to resolve production issues and maintain smooth operations.
Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards.
About You
Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or Team Leader position within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing production teams.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
The ability to work effectively across multiple departments to achieve shared business goals.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
