Job Description

Project Engineer - Project Manager (MEP) / Pharma - GMP facility / Devon / Contract – outside IR35

If you are a Project Engineer/ Project Manager with capabilities and understanding of MEP / Facilities upgrade projects (MEP / Building Services), with 5 years+ pharma or GMP project exposure then get in touch now!

Key Responsibilities / Projects

  * This role will lead the optioneering, design, and construction of multiple refurbishments within an existing facility, including the integration of new processing equipment.

  * The scope includes managing internal stakeholders to define operational, quality, and safety requirements, coordinating specialist process and construction designers, providing technical input, and overseeing procurement and contractual negotiations.

  * The role will also involve producing key project documentation, including project management deliverables, tender packs, and technically focused documents such as URS, while maintaining strong internal stakeholder engagement to secure timely approvals.

  * Lead and manage lifecycle of multiple room upgrades to GMP standards. (Design through to Completion).

  * Manage logistical challenges associated with extensive pipework running across operational GMP areas, ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance.

  * Coordinate closely with site teams, GMP operations, and wider business stakeholders to plan and execute works safely and efficiently.

  * Oversee transition from the end of the design phase into contract negotiations, additional tendering (if required), and full delivery.
