Job Description

Project Manager – Main Contractor

Leicester | £70,000 – £80,000 + Package

A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship £17m Leisure Centre project in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of public sector and leisure developments across the Midlands. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the project from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

  * Managing the full lifecycle of a £17m leisure centre scheme

  * Leading site teams, subcontractors, and client relationships

  * Overseeing programme, budget, quality, and health & safety

  * Chairing progress meetings and reporting to senior management

  * Driving project delivery to achieve programme milestones

  * Coordinating with design teams and consultants

  * Ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor

  * Track record delivering projects valued £10m+

  * Experience within leisure, education, healthcare, or public sector projects preferred

  * Strong leadership and communication skills

  * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive programme performance

  * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications

Package

  * Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 DOE

  * Company car or car allowance
