Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Retail Fit-Out & Refurbishment (Consultancy)

Location: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield or Milton Keynes (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Annual Bonus (3–6%)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm)

TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a leading cost and project management consultancy, to recruit an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join their growing Retail Fit-Out & Refurbishment division.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established national supermarket client, delivering a long-term programme of food retail and refrigeration projects running into Q4 2026 and beyond.

Projects typically range from £1m to £6m and run for 16–42 weeks, offering variety, complexity, and long-term continuity.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering full consultancy-led project management services across a series of retail refurbishment and fit-out projects.

You’ll oversee all stages from feasibility through to completion, ensuring successful outcomes for both the client and the consultancy.

Key responsibilities include:

  * 

    Managing full project lifecycle: inception, procurement, delivery, and handover

  * 

    Providing strategic and commercial advice to the client throughout project delivery

  * 

    Leading design, cost, and contractor teams within a consultancy framework

  * 

    Maintaining programme, budget, and quality control across multiple sites

  * 

    Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication

  * 

    (Senior PM) Leading and mentoring junior PMs or Apprentice PMs

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  * 

    Experience delivering food retail or refrigeration-led projects (essential)

  * 

    A background in consultancy project management, or mixed consultancy/client-side experience (preferred)

  * 

    Solid understanding of construction processes, cost management and stakeholder coordination

  * 

    Excellent communication and commercial skills

  * 

    Professional qualification such as MRICS, MAPM, or working towards (desirable)

  * 

    A proactive, collaborative approach to project delivery
