Freelance Project Manager – Industrial Refurbishment & External Works

Location: Redruth

Contract Type: Freelance

Project Value: £4.5m

Start: May 11th

Duration: 22 weeks

We are a respected medium‑sized contractor seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major refurbishment and car park upgrade to a large industrial warehouse facility. This role requires a confident, site‑focused leader with a proven track record of managing construction projects from inception through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  * Lead day‑to‑day project delivery across internal refurbishment and external car park works

  * Act as the primary client‑facing representative, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships

  * Oversee site teams, subcontractors, programme, quality, and H&S compliance

  * Drive progress against programme milestones and proactively resolve issues

  * Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to specification

Essential Requirements

  * Managers CSCS card

  * SMSTS certification

  * First Aid

  * Demonstrable experience as a site‑based lead on refurbishment or industrial projects

  * Strong client‑facing communication and leadership skills

  * Ability to manage both internal works and external civils packages

  * Proven success delivering projects of similar scale and complexity

  * Highly organised, proactive, and solutions‑driven

  * Able to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism

  * Confident managing programme pressures

Competitive day rate, dependent on experience
