Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-value electrical transmission projects across National Grid frameworks in the South West of the UK,

This is a key role where you’ll take full ownership of projects from concept through to completion, driving performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering safely, on time, and within budget.

You’ll be working at the forefront of the UK’s transition to net zero, delivering critical infrastructure that powers homes, businesses, and communities.

As a Project Manager you will:

  * Managing a portfolio of M&E projects across electrical transmission frameworks

  * Leading projects through the full lifecycle: design, build, commissioning, and handover

  * Ensuring excellence in health, safety, and environmental performance

  * Managing project budgets, programmes, risks, and opportunities

  * Leading and coordinating cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and site delivery

  * Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders

  * Supporting tendering and bid activity with technical and commercial input

  * Driving continuous improvement and high-performance delivery standards

Our client requires a Project Manager with:

  * Proven experience delivering substation build projects within National Grid environments

  * Strong working knowledge of NG Specifications, Safety Rules, and EPC / M&E frameworks

  * Demonstrated leadership on Design & Build projects

  * Strong commercial awareness, including NEC contract experience

  * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  * Ability to manage complex risk and deliver against programme and cost targets

  * Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering / Construction

  * Project Management qualification (APM, PMP or similar) preferred

Salary and benefits include:

  * £50,000 - £75,000 per annum

  * 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
