Project Manager – Civil Engineering
Bristol, Wiltshire & Somerset
£70,000 + Comprehensive Package

We are working with a well-established regional civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple infrastructure projects across Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will manage site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage the delivery of multiple civil engineering schemes from inception through to completion.

  * Lead and support Site Managers, Engineers and project teams.

  * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

  * Monitor project performance, costs and programme milestones.

  * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

  * Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  * Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards and health & safety legislation.

  * Produce regular progress reports and attend client and internal project meetings.

About You

  * Proven experience as a Project Manager within the civil engineering sector.

  * Experience delivering infrastructure projects such as highways, drainage, earthworks, structures or public realm schemes.

  * Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

  * Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets and programmes.

  * Good understanding of NEC contracts.

  * Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.

  * SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.

  * Full UK driving licence.
