Project Manager (Commercial Solar) | Outside IR35 Contract

Location: West London / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office and client sites)
 Contract Length: 3-6 Months
 Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Outside IR35)
 Start: ASAP

A rapidly growing Renewable energy business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a portfolio of commercial rooftop solar projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work and play a key role in delivering high value renewable energy installations. This role is confirmed as outside IR35, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects simultaneously.
Oversee projects from initial planning through to commissioning and handover.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders.
Monitor programme delivery, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong client relationships.
Manage site activities and contractor performance across multiple locations.

Requirements

Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial rooftop solar PV projects.
Strong electrical knowledge or background within the renewable energy sector.
Demonstrable experience managing contractors and site delivery teams.
Commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and budgets.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Comfortable using project management software such as Asana, (url removed) or similar.

Desirable

Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and EV charging infrastructure.
Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent site management qualifications.
