Project Quantity Surveyor

Tonbridge, Kent

Upto £80,000 + £4/5k Car Allowance + Package

Overview:

As the Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for managing several large packages on an exciting, high end heritage part refurbishment and part new build project in Tonbridge. This is an important role within a respected contractor, offering the chance to work on a bespoke scheme.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager
Administration and commercial management of multiple subcontract work packages from procurement to final account.
Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), financial forecasts, and cost reports.
Management and negotiation of variations, claims, and final accounts with subcontractors and the client.
Assisting in the production and issue of commercial notices to both the Client and Subcontractors.
Working to maintain profit and margin targets across assigned packages. 

Requirements:

Experience working for a Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractor as a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor is preferred.
Ability to manage and commercially control multiple, complex work packages at one time.
Experience in highend projects, including heritage, refurbishment, or complex new build schemes is beneficial.
Good contractual knowledge and negotiation skills.
Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline.
