Job Description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Property Manager to join Wirral Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional to lead the delivery of the Property Pool Plus Choice Based Lettings (CBL) Service, working in partnership with Merseyside local authorities and Registered Providers to ensure the effective allocation of social housing and the delivery of high-quality housing services.

Key Responsibilities

  * Lead, manage and develop the Property Pool Plus Team, ensuring an accurate and up-to-date housing register is maintained.

  * Oversee the delivery of the Choice Based Lettings service, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and partnership agreements.

  * Manage and motivate a team of housing professionals, setting objectives, monitoring performance and supporting staff development.

  * Work collaboratively with Registered Providers, local authority partners and external agencies to improve housing outcomes for residents.

  * Develop and review allocations policies and procedures in line with legislation, government guidance and best practice.

  * Manage complex housing allocation cases, appeals and reviews, providing expert advice and decision-making support.

  * Produce performance reports, analyse service data and identify opportunities for service improvement.

  * Represent the service at partnership meetings, safeguarding panels, MAPPA meetings and other multi-agency forums.

Requirements

  * Significant experience working within Housing Allocations, Choice Based Lettings or Housing Options services.

  * Previous management experience within a Local Authority or Registered Social Landlord.
