Proposals Engineer

Permanent

Hull | Hybrid working | 

Are you an experienced Proposals, Bid or Project Engineer with a mechanical or electrical engineering background?
Do you have experience preparing estimates, reviewing technical drawings and supporting bids or tenders?
Would you like to work on complex automation and baggage handling projects for a global engineering business?

What will you be doing?
Managing proposals from enquiry through to submission
Reviewing customer specifications, ITTs and RFPs
Preparing technical estimates and costings
Producing clear, compliant proposal documents
Coordinating engineering, commercial and supplier input
Managing RFIs and technical clarifications
Monitoring proposal costs, risks and deadlines
Supporting bid reviews and project handovers
Assisting with concept layouts where required

Where will you be doing it?
You'll join a global engineering business delivering automated baggage handling and material handling systems. Working within the bids team, you'll help secure major engineering projects by producing high quality technical and commercial proposals.

What will you need?
HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in proposals, bids, estimating, project engineering or technical design
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience preparing technical estimates and costings
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Good commercial awareness and organisational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
AutoCAD or Revit experience would be advantageous
Experience within automation, material handling or baggage handling would be beneficial
