Accounts Payable Manager
 Location: Derbyshire (Hybrid working)
 Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
 
 Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional ready to step into a leadership role?

 We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Manager to join a growing organisation based in Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the AP function within a busy finance team and play a key role in ensuring efficient, accurate and well-controlled processes.
 
 This role offers a mix of operational oversight and team leadership, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also driving improvements.
 
 The Role
 As Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time.
 
 You’ll manage and support a small AP team, helping to maintain high standards while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen controls.
 
 You’ll work closely with the wider finance function, supporting month-end processes and ensuring trade liabilities are managed effectively.
 
 Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end accounts payable processes
Manage supplier payments and weekly payment runs
Lead, support and develop an AP team
Ensure accurate processing of invoices and purchase orders
Resolve supplier queries efficiently
Monitor trade creditors and maintain strong financial controls
Support system and process improvements to enhance efficiency
Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliationsAbout You

Previous experience managing or supervising an AP / Purchase Ledger team
Strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes
Organised, proactive and solutions-focused
Confident working in a fast-paced environment
