Quality Inspector - Alloa

First Achieve Engineering are working with a long-established engineering business in the Alloa area, who are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, detail-focused Inspector who takes pride in precision, quality, and doing things right first time.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for ensuring all machined components meet the required drawings and specifications. You'll carry out detailed dimensional checks using a range of manual measurement tools and ensure all quality records are completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect raw, in-process, and final machined parts against engineering drawings and tolerances (GD&T).
Carry out receiving and first-article inspections where required.
Use a wide range of manual metrology tools - micrometers, calipers, bore and thread gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.
Record and maintain accurate inspection reports and non-conformance records (NCRs).
Work closely with Engineering, Workshop, and Quality teams to resolve any issues.
Ensure compliance with all quality and HSE procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a busy engineering environment.

You'll need:

Time-served or proven experience in precision/mechanical inspection.
Strong manual measurement skills in a workshop or manufacturing setting.
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T experience essential).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with basic MS Office for record keeping.
Portable arm (Romer) experience beneficial, but training can be provided.
