Job Description

A well-established specialist contractor operating within RC Frame, demolition, enabling works and construction services is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded QS with demolition experience to join a growing business delivering complex and technically challenging projects across a range of sectors throughout the UK.

The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the commercial management of demolition and enabling works projects from tender stage through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

  * Managing project costs and commercial performance

  * Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts

  * Subcontractor procurement and account management

  * Cost forecasting, budgeting and reporting

  * Reviewing contracts and identifying commercial risks

  * Supporting tender submissions and pricing exercises

  * Liaising with operational teams, clients and subcontractors

  * Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets

  * Managing change control and cost recovery processes

Requirements

  * Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within demolition is essential

  * Strong understanding of demolition, enabling works or related construction sectors

  * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  * Good knowledge of standard forms of contract

  * Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  * Commercially aware with strong analytical abilities

  * Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction-related discipline preferred

  * Full UK driving licence
