Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor
Location: West Lothian
Salary: Up to £55,000 + package
Project Values: £2m – £15m

Our client is a respected Main Contractor specialising in industrial and retail projects across Scotland. With a strong order book and steady growth, they are now looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

You’ll support the commercial management of projects ranging from £2m–£15m, ensuring cost control, accurate reporting, and effective subcontractor management throughout each stage of the build.

Key Responsibilities

  * Managing cost plans, valuations, and cost reporting

  * Preparing and reviewing tender documents and subcontract packages

  * Assessing variations and managing change control

  * Managing payments and final accounts

  * Working closely with the site and project teams

  * Ensuring commercial compliance across all projects

What We’re Looking For

  * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment

  * Exposure to industrial/retail projects is highly advantageous

  * Strong commercial awareness and reporting skills

  * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  * Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
