Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor

Location: Gloucester
Sector: Regional Building Contractor
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Package

The Opportunity

A strong opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional building contractor in Gloucester. This role offers the chance to work on a varied portfolio of projects, take real ownership commercially and progress within a stable, growing business.

You’ll be joining a contractor known for delivering quality schemes across multiple sectors, with a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term repeat clients.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

  * 

    Managing the commercial delivery of construction projects.

  * 

    Preparing and maintaining project budgets and cost plans.

  * 

    Procuring subcontractors and managing the supply chain.

  * 

    Producing CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.

  * 

    Managing valuations, variations and payment applications.

  * 

    Supporting final accounts and project close-out.

  * 

    Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity.

  * 

    Working closely with operational and site teams.

About You

  * 

    Experience as a QS or Senior QS within a main contractor environment.

  * 

    Background in general build or regional contracting preferred.

  * 

    Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract administration.

  * 

    Confident communicator with site and senior management teams.

  * 

    Commercially astute and organised.

  * 

    Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience.
