Job Description

I am excited to be working with this business - a growing contractor, based in Somerset, who have a portfolio of super interesting and unique projects. With a healthy order book, and a small but driven team, you'll not want to pass up on this!

The Role

Reporting the senior management team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day commercial management of domestic construction projects, ranging from circa £400k - £5m. You will work closely with both the operational delivery and financial teams, to ensure robust cost control, accurate financial reporting, and effective supply chain management throughout the project lifecycle.

Some Key Responsibilities:
  
Supporting the full commercial lifecycle of construction projects, from tender stage through to final account. 
Assist in obtaining supply chain & subcontractor costs & quotations in the production of tender quotations & estimates. 
Preparing labour & material cost estimates for works, quotations, tenders & variations. 
Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and detailed forecasts. 
Tracking & ensuring margin is maintained across the project life cycle. 
Producing accurate and timely monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.  Ideally, to be considered for the role, you'll have a tonne of energy, be super dynamic and have the following:
  
Minimum 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor 
Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT / NEC).
