Your new company
We are currently working with a respected Housing Association in Glasgow to recruit a Repairs Assistant on a temporary 2-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with housing experience who enjoys delivering a high-quality service to tenants and working in a fast-paced environment.
Your new role
Act as the first point of contact for repairs enquiries from tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Log and process responsive repairs requests accurately within housing management systems.
Raise works orders and liaise with contractors to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.
Monitor outstanding repairs and proactively follow up on overdue works.
Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating access arrangements for tenants and contractors.
Support the administration of compliance programmes, including gas servicing, electrical inspections and cyclical maintenance activities.
Provide updates to tenants on the progress of repairs and manage expectations throughout the repair process.
Investigate and respond to repairs-related enquiries and complaints.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is updated in line with organisational procedures.
Work closely with housing, maintenance and asset management teams to support service delivery.What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working within a Housing Association, Local Authority or social housing environment.
Experience administering repairs and maintenance services.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience liaising with contractors and managing repairs enquiries.
Confidence using housing management systems and Microsoft Office packages.
The ability to prioritise a busy workload and work effectively within a team.Desirable
Experience of working with compliance programmes, including gas servicing and property safety requirements.
Knowledge of housing maintenance processes and contractor management.
Experience using HomeMaster or similar housing management software.What you'll get in return
