Job Description

Interaction Education are currently supporting a great school in the Upminster area in their search for a School Attendance Officer to cover them up until Christmas of 2025 (4 week contract).

The successful candidate for this role will need previous experience in a school attendance role and this is an essential requirement of the role.

The key responsibilities are below, and a DBS on the update service is essential due to the quick start required for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

Track and record daily attendance accurately.

Follow up on absences and lateness, contacting parents/carers as needed.

Support students and families to overcome attendance barriers.

Produce attendance reports and assist with safeguarding concerns.

Skills & Requirements:

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information.

Experience in a school or administrative setting preferred.
