School Chef Wanted ***

Role: School Chef

Location: Darlington 
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 25 hours per week
Pay: Hourly rate - based on experience

Are you passionate about cooking and creating nutritious meals for children? We're looking for an experienced School Chef to join a vibrant school environment and take charge of preparing delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds.

What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing and cooking balanced meals for pupils and staff each day
Managing dietary requirements and allergies safely
Ordering supplies and managing kitchen stock
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen space
Supporting with menu planning and adhering to food hygiene regulations 

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally in a school or similar setting
A passion for creating healthy, child-friendly meals
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
