School Mental Health Assistant - Specialist SEN School Location: Earley, Berkshire Start Date: ASAP Pay: £89 - £100 per day Hours: Full-Time Are you a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in children's mental health? Are you aspiring to become an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Mental Health Practitioner? A specialist SEN school in Earley is seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to join their team immediately. The school supports pupils with a variety of social, emotional, and mental health needs, including attachment disorders, trauma, moderate learning difficulties, and anxiety disorders. In this role, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs Follow therapeutic practices and behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and safe learning environment Assist classroom teachers with daily learning activities and pupil support Collaborate with on-site specialists to ensure tailored, high-quality care and educationThis is an excellent opportunity for graduates or aspiring psychologists to gain practical experience supporting children with complex needs.
