What you’ll be doing: Deliver high-quality teaching and maximise pupil achievement Support school science strategy, values, and policies Lead and manage science staff and resources Deliver a broad, engaging, and inclusive curriculum Monitor and support pupil progress and attainment Model excellent classroom practice Provide clear assessment and feedback to pupils and parents Promote a positive team culture and collaboration Ensure effective communication with parents and staff Manage budget, resources, and departmental development What we’re looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A qualification in a science related subject A qualification in SEND education is desirable Experience of teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 Experience of working with children and young people with SEND and ASC Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods Why join us? Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs. Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
