Job Advert: Science Technician – Secondary School, Caldicot (South Wales)
Start date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Pay: £100–£120 per day
Contract: Long-term

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a welcoming Secondary school in Caldicot, South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in laboratory support who is looking to play a key role in helping deliver high-quality science education.

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Preparing, organising and maintaining equipment and materials for science lessons

  * 

    Supporting teachers during practical sessions

  * 

    Ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times

  * 

    Maintaining stock levels and accurate records

  * 

    Assisting with general administrative and technical tasks within the science department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  * 

    Previous experience as a science technician or in a similar laboratory-based role

  * 

    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  * 

    Good understanding of safe working practices in a science environment

  * 

    The ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy department
