Job Title: Secondary Cover Teacher

Job Duties:

Provide cover teaching for secondary school classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively to ensure continuity in student learning
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and examinations
Communicate with school staff and parents regarding student performance and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Enhanced DBS check
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Prior experience in teaching or cover teaching role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum
Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and strategies
Organisational skills and ability to manage classroom dynamics

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

Part-time hours on a contract basis
Work within a secondary school setting
Potential for travel between different school locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
