We are recruiting an experienced Section Engineer to join a major National Grid energy infrastructure project in Suffolk, near Saxmundham.
The project involves major substation and associated civil engineering works, including earthworks, site platforms, drainage, highways/access and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating site works from short to medium-term programmes
Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site teams
Overseeing earthworks, highways and general civils
Ensuring permits, RAMS, ITPs and QA packs are completed as works progress
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to project management
Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction information
Supporting engineering, setting out and resolving technical issues
Maintaining accurate site records and as-built informationRequirements:
Previous experience as a Section Engineer on major civils/infrastructure projects
Strong earthworks and highways experience
Ability to produce and manage short/medium-term programmes
Strong understanding of QA, permits and construction documentation
Excellent coordination and planning skills
CSCS
