Job Description

Senior Engineer | Reinforced Concrete

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major reinforced concrete structures project in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects, working within a technically challenging and high-profile construction environment.

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering leadership across the project, ensuring reinforced concrete construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical and quality standards.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities

  * Leading and overseeing site engineering activities across reinforced concrete structures and associated civil engineering works.

  * Setting out and surveying reinforced concrete structures, foundations, slabs, walls, columns and associated civil engineering works.

  * Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying and resolving engineering issues as they arise.

  * Producing and reviewing QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and handover documentation.

  * Maintaining accurate site records, as-built information, surveys and engineering documentation.

  * Working closely with construction, design and quality teams to ensure reinforced concrete works meet project specifications and client requirements.

  * Supporting the resolution of technical queries, RFIs and construction issues throughout the delivery of the works.

Senior Engineer Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on major civil engineering, reinforced concrete or structural concrete projects.

  * Previous experience working on nuclear, major infrastructure, reinforced concrete structures or complex civil engineering schemes is highly desirable.

  * Experience on Sizewell C, Hinkley Point C or other major nuclear/infrastructure projects would be advantageous.

  * Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, foundations, structural concrete, formwork, reinforcement and associated civil engineering works.

  * Competent using Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.

  * Valid CSCS Card (essential).

  * Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

  * Nuclear or major infrastructure experience is desirable.

What's on Offer

  * £375–£450 per day, depending on experience.

  * 12-month contract with the potential for extension.
