Pay: £105 - £115 per day
Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH teaching assistant to join a large primary school in Eccles, Salford. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the students with SEMH needs. You will be required to work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other staff members to implement tailored interventions, offering a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH needs, both in and outside of the classroom
Managing challenging behaviour and developing de-escalation techniques
Assisting in development and implementation of IEPs and interventionsExperience, Training & Qualifications:
Previous experience supporting children and young people
A compassionate and patient approach, with ability to build rapport
Strong communication skills and the ability to be apart of a team
A good understanding of de-escalation and behaviour management techniques
Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two yearsOTHER
