SEN Primary Teacher – Trafford Employer: Teaching Personnel Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, long-term Location: Trafford Are you an inspiring teacher with a passion for supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs? A warm and inclusive primary school in the Trafford area is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join their team this September. The successful candidate will be working with pupils who present a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, sensory processing differences, communication and speech & language needs, SEMH, and physical or medical needs. About the Role As the school’s SEN Primary Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of complex SEN needs. Create structured, supportive learning environments that promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCO to implement EHCP targets. Use creative teaching strategies, visual aids, and sensory resources to support learning. Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, ensuring consistency and communication with parents and professionals. Foster independence, confidence, and social development within the classroom. Lead a class with patience, positivity, and a personalised approach to every learner. ✔️ Requirements To be considered, you must have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential. Experience working in SEN settings, ideally with primary-aged pupils. Understanding of SEN strategies including PECS, Makaton, sensory regulation, and behaviour support. A child-only Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel). Strong communication, resilience, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
